Part-Time Universal Worker – Assisted Living & Memory Care

Birkwood Village Assisted Living and Memory Care is looking for a caring and dependable Part-Time Universal Worker to join our team! This role includes flexible 4–8 hour shifts and offers a starting wage of $15.00/hour or more, based on experience.

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Universal Worker and/or Medication Manager to join our team. These positions are vital in ensuring our residents receive the highest level of care, assistance, and medication management in a warm, home-like environment.

Key Responsibilities

Resident Support & Care

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Foster meaningful connections with residents, providing emotional and social engagement
  • Support meal service, light housekeeping, and community activities

Medication Management

  • Accurately administer medications per physician orders and maintain detailed records
  • Monitor residents for medication side effects or changes in condition
  • Communicate effectively with the AL Director of Nursing and the Community Relations Director

Teamwork & Community

  • Work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure a positive living environment
  • Uphold the highest standards of care, safety, and compliance with state regulations
  • Demonstrate kindness, commitment, integrity, accountability, and collaboration in all interactions

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in assisted living, caregiving, or a related field preferred
  • Medication Aide/Manager certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A passion for senior care and a commitment to compassionate service
